Club Anniversary Breast Cancer Project

In Ghana, over 4,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer annually, almost half of them die. Studies show that women in Ghana are diagnosed at more advanced stages of the disease – up to 70% of women have advanced stage cancer by the time it is identified. Our Club was Chartered on  13th October, 1995 which marks would Breast Cancer day. The club has been leveraging on it’s in house human resources within the health and medical field over the past 2 and a half decades to assume the mandate of

  • Creating awareness
  • Screen and Encourage Early detection
  • Inform the populace of the risk factors that lead to Breast Cancer.

The Battle against Breast cancer just like any form of cancer can be won. The main way of winning the battle is early detection and mitigating the risk factors.
